Lead Consultant

Gretchen is Clay Shaw Thomas’ Independent Financial Adviser, working within the wealth planning team as a Lead Consultant. She joined the firm in September 2003 after two years’ working and training with a big 5 accountants in Cardiff.

She is a member of the Personal Finance Society and her qualifications include the Chartered Insurance Institute’s (CII) Financial Planning Diploma.

Gretchen specialises in working with owner-managed businesses and private clients, offering expertise in pension funding and income options, investments and on-going financial management and insurance protection plans for groups and individuals.

She enjoys working with a wide range of clients and within a team that offers a variety of complementary skills. Gretchen also finds it rewarding to clarify the jargon associated with financial services for clients and the problem-solving that her role involves.

Gretchen also manages CST’s marketing function and is involved with organising events, raising brand awareness and PR and Media relations.
