Katie Burnett
Audit & Accounts Senior Consultant

Katie works within the audit & accounts team at Clay Shaw Thomas as a senior consultant and is responsible for a portfolio of clients. She joined the firm in September 1997 after gaining a 2:1 BA (Hons) degree in Business Accounting from the University of Glamorgan. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant whilst training with the firm and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Katie began her career with Clay Shaw Thomas in the audit department, working with small and medium-sized business and now manages her own portfolio of such clients which includes partnerships and limited companies covering such businesses as clubs, hotels, management companies, pharmacies, building contractors, plumbing and heating companies as well as specialising in Solicitors (and the Solicitors Accounts Rules) and Charities (encompassing the Charities Act and regulations).

She enjoys the variety of work that such a portfolio offers and the job satisfaction from helping clients to understand their figures, improve their accounting systems and save them tax!
