David Thomas David Thomas, a director of Clay Shaw Thomas, joined the firm in 1976 after gaining a BSc degree in economics and became a partner in 1980. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) and a registered auditor. He works with a range of clients, specialising in solicitors, the construction sector, farmers and landowners, and enjoys his role in helping hard-working business people to achieve success. David’s expertise includes financial planning, business management and profit improvement and he is experienced in providing an overview of how taxes affect small and medium-sized enterprises. He is proud of his role in guiding the firm to Investors in People status in 1994 – an accreditation that has been retained ever since – and in maintaining high standards and quality control throughout the firm.
