The Welsh government has announced a “firebreak” lockdown from Friday 23 October until Monday 9 November to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Under the new rules, pubs, restaurants, hotels, hairdressers, beauticians and non-essential shops will be required to shut and people will be asked to remain at home except for very limited circumstances.
News of yet more COVID-19 restrictions on Welsh businesses is likely to leave many owners concerned about the impact on their income and their survival.
Our team at Clay Shaw Thomas understand the effect this is likely to have on many businesses and are here to offer our support and help.
We have been working with a wide variety of businesses throughout 2020 to offer them guidance and assistance with a wide range of issues, including:
- Access to finance
- Financial and cash flow forecasting
- Applications for the Economic Resilience Fund
- Furlough and other employment issues.
If your business is likely to be affected by the firebreak then you must take action now by putting plans and measures in place that help build business resilience.
